Meet Janine Amphlett
Co-Founder
13 Years of Marketing Experience. One Consistent Approach.
For over a decade, I’ve helped businesses build stronger brands, connect with the right audiences, and achieve meaningful growth through strategic marketing.
My career began as a copywriter back in 2013 before evolving into broader content marketing, digital strategy, and consultancy. Along the way, I’ve worked across a diverse range of sectors, supporting organisations of all sizes, from ambitious start-ups and owner-managed businesses to established organisations operating in highly competitive markets.

From Imekota to Amplified by Amphlett
In 2015, I launched Imekota, an independent marketing consultancy, at a time when freelance marketing support was almost unheard of on the Isle of Man (especially one ran by a woman in her early 20’s!) What began as a content-focused consultancy quickly evolved into a broader strategic offering as clients increasingly sought support across social media, digital marketing, SEO, brand positioning, campaigns, events, and communications.
Over the years, I’ve worked with businesses across financial services, technology, gaming, retail, hospitality, professional services, and the public sector. Every business had its own goals and challenges, but I found the same themes coming up: how to stand out, how to explain what makes you different, and how to make marketing actually drive growth.
A lot has changed since I started in marketing. The channels, tools, and technology have evolved at an incredible pace, but the core principles haven’t. Great marketing still comes down to understanding people, communicating your value clearly, and building trust over time. That’s the approach I’ve always believed in, and it’s the one that sits at the heart of Amplified by Amphlett.
A Natural Evolution in How I Approach Marketing
The transition from Imekota to Amplified by Amphlett reflects a natural evolution in both direction and ambition. While the name has changed, the foundation behind the business remains the same – strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and marketing designed to deliver meaningful impact. Having lived in the Isle of Man all my life, I bring a strong understanding of the local business environment alongside experience gained across a wide range of industries and markets. This combination allows me to develop marketing that is both commercially effective and grounded in real-world context.
Let’s Talk Marketing
I’m always open to conversations about ideas, challenges, or opportunities – whether that’s marketing, brand direction, or growing a business in the Isle of Man. Coffee is on me.
